Wouldn't it just be\[10x ^{3}+2x ^{2}y+2xy ^{4}-3y ^{2}\] because 3y^2 has a degree of zero for x or 1. So the 3rd term would be 2xy^4. If I'm completely wrong, sorry its been awhile......

Then they would be asking the coefficient of the 3rd term wouldn't they?
