"A spool of #10 AWG aluminum wire is 500 feet long. If the ambient temperature is 80ºF, what is the end-to-end electrical resistance? Explain all calculations necessary to solve this problem." For anyone else who has encountered this sort of problem before, would the temperature T and reference temperature Tr be the same thing in the equation for finding the electrical resistance of a conductor at any temperature?(below) RT = Rr + Rr αT − Rr αTr Where, RT = Resistance of conductor at temperature T Rr = Resistance of conductor at reference temperature Tr α = Temperature coefficient

Some necessary info to solve: #10 AWG = 10,381 CM ρ of aluminum = 17.0 CM-Ω/ft α of aluminum = 0.004308 80ºF = 26.66ºC If I left any key information out here, let me know please.
