How to multiply 10^5 x 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 could be represented as \[10^1\] so you would have\[10^5 \times 10^1\]which would be the same as \[10^{5+1}\] or \[10^6\]

OpenStudy (ranga):

The rule to follow is: \[\Large a ^{m} \times a ^{n} = a ^{m+n}\]
