The Law of Conservation of Energy states: A. Energy is efficient at 100% in all systems B. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed C. Energy can be created but it cannot be destroyed D. None of the above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's 'b', energy can neither be created nor destroyed only transferred. for example: from mechanical to heat. say you are turning gears. you are putting in mechanical energy into the gears which becomes heat energy and sound energy so you didn't create energy just transferred it into something else.

OpenStudy ($u$hant):

Energy is capacity of matter to perform work as the result of its motion or its position in relation to forces acting on it. All forms of energy are nonconvertible by appropriate processes. In the process of transformation either kinetic or potential energy may be lost or gained, but the sum total of the two remains always the same. So, the correct answer is "B"
