Why is it difficult to find evidence of life on other planets?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because it's hard to know stuff about things from far away.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause we have hardly visited other planets :P And at above.. not really.. we know precisely what is happening at distances far far away, about different stars, their composition, the stuff that is made of , the time period, when a new star would be born, or when it died? all that we can get just by sitting here

OpenStudy ($u$hant):

The first and the foremost reason is that it's very difficult to settle in other planets. I mean to say that other planets don't consist the atmosphere like our earth does. So it's quite uneasy for establishing human settlements over there and carry out scientific experiments to find the evidences of life on other planets.
