Sentence for commutative property of addition

Directrix (directrix):

It seems that a statement of the commutative property of addition might be an acceptable answer. Commutative has to do with the order; in this case the order in which two numbers or variables are added. The property states that order does not matter. So, 3 + 5 = 5 + 3 Or, 3y + 2x = 2x + 3y. Not all operations are commutative. 3 divided by 6 is not the same as 6 divided by 3. @Danny34
