OpenStudy (loser66):

Please, explain me. I am confused (sin (x-a))'= ?

OpenStudy (loser66):

I expand sin (x -a) = sinx cos a - sin a cos x and then take derivative to get (sinx)'cos a + sin x (cos a)' - (sina)' cos x - sina (cosx)' = cos x cos a - sinx sin a - cos a cos x +sina sinx = 0 but worfram said that (sin (x-a))'= cos (a-x) . http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28sin+%28x-a%29%29%27 What's wrong with mine?
