What can and should I abuse-report and what not? (I've always been afraid to b/c I might not be right.)
you can report if anyone is cursing anywhere, in chat or replies. you can report if anyone is really being mean/rude to someone/you. you can report if you find someone is cheating in the exam/graded test. you can report if someone gives out direct answers without explanations. basically you can report ANYTHING that goes against our code of conduct :)
1) you can report if anyone is cursing anywhere, in chat or replies. Is "shut up" (sorry) a curse? Are the curses listed in the code of conduct? 2) you can report if anyone is really being mean/rude to someone/you. Is that described in detail in the code? Also, I a keep telling some person to explain AND NOT GIVE ME LINKS the question and he keeps giving me links, I tell him not to reply if that is just a link b/c he is spanning and wasting my thread, but he still does; keeps posting links, when I need someone to TELL the explanation to me. Can I report that. What If I reported for the sake of the good, but turned out I wasn't right? I do get suspended/accused/suspended for long or what? Can answer to history, if they are w/o explanations, be abuse reported?
1)&2) really depends on the context of the conversation. its not a curse, but can (or maybe not always) rude. so, yes report it, we will look through the context :) and thats why we do not explicitly list curse words. yes, report the person who you think spams, even after being told not to. don't worry about that, we ignore false reports unless you are doing it to spam, so i hope that will not happen often :) yes, but if there's nothing to explain, then ok.
TNX!
Also how to you report? because there isn't a button on their profile anywhere
correct. because you report replies/chat messages/personal messages as those can violate the CoC, and there's a report button for each of them :)
