Solve the combined inequality and select the answer that best describes the graph of the solution. 3x – 7 < -10 or 5x + 2 > 22 Open dot at -1 shaded to the left, open dot at 4 shaded to the right Closed dot at -1 shaded to the left, closed dot at 5 shaded to the right Open dot at 1 shaded to the left, open dot at 5 shaded to the right None of the above

I solved the inequalities ..... (Im sure you know how to solve the inequality to get the value of X and to get the solution set.) for 3x-7<-10 , you will get a solution set of x<-1 or x<17/3 for 5x+2>22 , you will get a solution set of x>4 or x> -24/5. Based on your question, Im guessing they focused on the direct statement ... meaning 3x-7<-10 = x<-1. And 5X+2>22 = x>4. In this case, when you graph it ..... Choice A would be correct: Open dot at -1 shaded to the left, open dot at 4 shaded to the right
