What was one success achieved by Granges?

The Grange was organized in 1867 and led by Oliver H. Kelley. The Grange was for the most part successful. It enhanced the lives of isolated farmers through social, educational, and fraternal activities. It gradually raised farmers goals from individual self improvement to improvement of the farmers plight. It helped to regulate railroad fees and set up stores for farmers to sell goods in. However a number of granger laws were badly drawn and their influence faded.
