Was there any political reasons the US enter World War I?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Political reasons were the sinking of the Passenger ship Lusitania because aboard the Lusitania a lot of Americans were aboard the ship but a German U-boat sunk the Lusitania which this angered the Americans. Also the other one the Zimmerman telegram which was a letter sent to the German embassy in Mexico city which told the Mexican government please wage war against America but Mexico did not hand a declaration of war to America.

Thank you! However do you think that the United States entered world war I for entirely economic reasons? It didn't seem that it would be entirely economic reasons, because there are political reasons.
