How does igneous rock become sedimentary rock?

When magma or lava cools and hardens Igneous rock is formed. Then they can either be weathered/broken down into smaller pieces and become sediment or can be exposed to heat or pressure causing them to melt or become metamorphic rocks. If the sediments become cemented together then the rock is a sedimentary rock.
