median of 5,7,10,11,12,13,13,15

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

In order to find the median of the set of numbers, you need to order the numbers from least to greatest. Then you cross out the numbers in order going from the first and then doing the last.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

However, from my opinion I don't think that you will have an specific number. So you just have to find the mean. To do so, add the two remaining numbers and then divide it by 2 (since you're finding the mean of two numbers).

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

The median is the middle number. Sometimes you have two middle numbers, in that case you find the average of the 2 numbers by adding them together and dividing by 2. You middle numbers are 11 and 12. add them, then divide by 2 and that is your median.
