A gas diffuses 5/3 faster than carbon dioxide. Which gas might it be? I know: 5/3 = (M/44)^.5 .36 = M/44 M = 16 as the molar mass of the other gas. That would be CH4 But I cannot figure out how they got the .36. How do you multiply the exponent?!
