According to the fundamental theorem of algebra, how many zeros does the polynomial below have? f(x)=x^4+5x^3+10x^2+20x+24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should have 4, because the highest degree of this polynomial is 4 (the x^4).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the fundamental theorem of algebra is that the highest power x is raised to is the number of zeros. so f(x) = x (linear) has one zero f(x) = x^2 (quadratic) has 2 zeros etc.
