ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

where do u have problem wid ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand the table in terms of how it goes from 300 to 400 and so on

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

just see that 300 goes to 600 in 2 jumps (the value is getting doubled in 2 jumps)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

600 goes to 1200 in 2 jumps again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, that part makes sense because you multiply by two

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

u cud have written the function for this as : \(\large G = 300 . 2^{T/2}\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

everytime T is a multiple of 2, u get a whole number for the exponent part

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

put T=1 and see wat u get put T=0 and see wat u get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 1 I get 300 and for 0 I get 150

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

how ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

put T=1 and see wat u get \(\large G = 300 . 2^{1/2}\) \(\large ~~~~=?\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

put T=1 and see wat u get \(\large G = 300 . 2^{1/2}\) \(\large ~~~~=300 . \sqrt{2} \) \(\large ~~~~=? \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I put them into my calculator. Fr the first one I did 300(2)^1/2 and it came up with 300 for the second one it came up with a weird decimal

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

T=1, u should get 424.264... T=0, u shoudl get 300

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

put them in the revised function :- \(\large G = 300 . 2^{T/2}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get 424.264 when I do \[300 x \sqrt{2}\]
