-2(5n+1)=16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wtf was that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n = -18/10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

brain fart lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D LOL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute the -2 into the (5n+1) making it equal to -10n-2=16 then you add the 2 on both sides giving you -10n=18. Then you divide it -10 on both sides giving you \[\frac{ 18 }{ -10 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify it, giving you \[\frac{ 9 }{ -5 }\]

OpenStudy (ranga):

-2(5n+1)=16 Divide both sides by -2 5n + 1 = -8 Subtract 1 from both sides 5n = -9 Divide both sides by 5 n = -9/5
