Encouraging the guest users to sign up on OpenStudy
Suppose a person X comes to OpenStudy and clicks on a post but he doesn't sign up. He sees a post but doesn't understand the solution given by the openstudy user. The reason may be, the openstudy user who has answered the question there had just given hint as he may have thought that the asker has good enough knowledge to solve the question only with the help of hint. But the openstudy user didn't know that the viewers who may view the question later who have little knowledge about the topic of question get into problem... In that case, the guests may leave the site without signing up, so to encourage them to come on this site and sign up and get help, I have proposed this idea. It is actually just like a pop up message box which comes when a guest user clicks on any question. The message box will be like that I mentioned there... in the post.
It may be like this. (PFA) I have taken the HTML code from Google's homepage.
Like the green box in the attachment?
Well yes, but it is always visible for the guest user, but this pop-up has an option of "Got it" by clicking which the message will be closed - It will be given surely more attraction by the guest users then that green box.
I disagree. Since it is always visible by the guest user, they can click on it whenever they want to. Even if you add that tab, that doesn't attract much attention. I tend to ignore those message. Unless it is compulsory to click on it, it doesn't help much. Most important of all, why implementing the same thing twice?
Agree with you...knew this , it was not that good idea.. :)
