OpenStudy (shyniah365):

how to covert 2000 into a scientific notation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 X10^3

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

you put a decimal after you first number 2.000 and then count your numbers from the decimal to the end of the number...there are 3 of them. Therefore, in scientific notation, 2000 would be 2 x 10^3. try this one.... 54000....put a decimal after the first number 5.4000 count from the decimal to the end of the number...there are 4 of them, therefore, 54000 in scientific notation is 5.4 x 10 ^ 4. Understand ?
