15 • 25 - 75x what does the second term represent?!
what do you think it is
I think it's 25. I thought each of the different numbers is a term. But I'm not sure that's right.
Does this help?.... The words to go with it... Jack's pet dog has been prescribed 75 mg of a medicine per day. Each pill of the medicine has 15 mg of the medicine. Jack has to give his dog a total of 25 pills. If Jack gave his dog medicine for x days, use the expression below to interpret the situation. 15 • 25 - 75x
1 pill is 15 mg 25 pills is (15 times 25) mg. This is your first term in the expression (15)(25) The dog is given 75 mg of medicine per day So for x days the dog would have been given 75x mg of medicine. The difference (15)(25) - 75x is the amount of medicine in mg remaining after x days.
Thanks. I think I got it! :)
u r welcome.
