It solves Algebra problems so you can do a problem then check it to see if it is right. Do NOT misuse it. Cheating is VERY VERY BAD.

Oh cool! They say the anser directly!
But the only problem is they ask you money to see steps. :(

Thats why you must do your own work first
OpenStudy (falco276):
Right.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lol
OpenStudy (falco276):
yeah. :D
OpenStudy (falco276):
4x - 9 = 15
I may know this one but am not sure.

Ahhh...okay. Now I get it. :)
I have another: maybe last.
In order to solve the equation -3x - 6 = 5, the first step is to:
add 6 to both sides
divide by 5 on both sides
subtract 6 from both sides
multiply by 5 on both sides
OpenStudy (falco276):
So you simply use like terms on both sides right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
as my 5th grade teacher says "x wants to be alone" lol.
OpenStudy (falco276):
But x equals to a number right?

At the part which it it says '6+6=5+6' do you add them first and that's how you get x= 11/3?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You have to cancel out the negative six on the left side because you have to get x alone, but to be able to add 6 to cancel out -6, you must add 6 to the right side also. Then you simplify. You get -3x=11. You still have to get x alone so you must cancel out the 3. The negative sign belongs to the x. Like with nouns and adjectives 3 describes how many x's there are. The opposite of multiplication is division so -3x÷3=11÷3 because what is done to one side must be done to the other. 3÷3 is 1 so that leaves one negative x. -x=11/3. You arent solving for negative x though, you are solving for positive x so since -x=11/3 that makes x=-11/3.

Understand?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes? No? Maybe? Even more confused than before?
OpenStudy (falco276):
Slightly.

Btw my real name is Samantha
OpenStudy (falco276):
okay, I have another question. @LadyKatsaTheGraceling
Let f(x) = -4x + 7 and g(x) = 10x - 6, find f(g(x)).
-40x + 24
-40x + 31
-40x + 64
-40x + 70
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh geez I haven't done that for a while let me think.
