Which of the following is a factored form of the following expression? 9x2 + 36x + 36 9(x + 6)2 (3x + 6)2 (3x + 6)(6x - 3) (3x + 6)(3x - 6)
A?
It would be B It is B, because if you multiply (3x + 6)(3x + 6)
can u help me with some more?
sure, i will try :)
A?
To find the equation of a line, you can use two points on the line. Use the graph to read two points, then use the two-point form of the equation of a line to find the equation of the line of best fit.
I am sorry, because i am a little rusty on those kind of questions but im guessing either A or C because i found one point of the graph that is (1500, 400) and if you put it in a fraction it would be 1500/400 and if you cancel out the zeros, it would be 15/4. But then again i am not hundred percent sure. :( im sorry i think that mathstudent55 knows way more then me :P
Start from the beginning. Can you read two points from the graph? The easiest points to read are points that fall on the intersection of grid lines. Remember, you need to read two points on the line, not the points that show as dots. (0, 0) is an easy point to read, so that can be your first point. You just need one more point.
@issy987 got it right. The seciond point can be (400, 1500). The slope is the difference in y over the difference in x. The slope is \(m = \dfrac{1500 - 0}{400 - 0} = \dfrac{1500}{400} = \dfrac{15}{4} \) The y-intercept is 0. The equation is y = mx + b \(y = \dfrac{15}{4} x\)
