For anyone who attends CA and in English 12. What is the main purpose for Chaucer's prologue in the Canterbury tales? a.to explain the influence of Christianity on the characters? b.to describe events that prompt the pilgrimage? c. to create a somber tone for subsequent narrative? d.to introduce the characters who will be telling their stories? <--this is my reason but, I don't have the time to reread all of the prologue. so please help!
