How is the government of the United States similar to the government structure of Rome? How is it different?

Well the US Empire is ruled by Obama Africanus. 

Like Rome was, the US is the world's most powerful military force. 

The big difference is that Rome also spread culture. 

They both spread their language around the known world. 

They both had trouble with new religions and their priests and leaders fought to maintain the status quo. Christians then; Islamic apostasies now. 

The Romans talked about Pax Romana. Peace on their terms or we invade and kill lots of people. (no change there). 

The Romans colonised Spain to exploit silver, salt, olive OIL and garum. The US still colonise to exploit oil. 

Like Rome, the US will soon fade and die
