OpenStudy (freethinker):
this is beyond cheating already
OpenStudy (ranga):
The picture seems to cut the x axis and not touch the x axis.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
well he just said that it should touch the x-axis. and it does it just intersects it
OpenStudy (ranga):
I interpreted it as the x axis being a tangent to the parabola at the vertex.

well i did kind too at first but it just says "touches it" so maybe @Diamondsforlife should show us
OpenStudy (ranga):
one of those questions that has more than one interpretation.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
if the first one doesnt work then the equation for a porabola with the vertex at the origin could be just simply y=x^2 although that might not be what he is looking for again
OpenStudy (ranga):
\[y = a(x \pm b)^{2}\] will work too.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
or x=a(y-k)^2
if he wanted to make it horizontal
