Do you mean the slope? You need to find 2 points on a line, lets say (0,0) and (1,1). Slope or the rate of change of the line is rise/run so y1-y2/x1/x2(it doesn't matter if its 1-0 or 0-1 it just has to be the same pair of points are the first pair or second pair). 1-0/1-0=1/1=1 OR 0-1/0-1=-1/-1=1
