Slope of y = 3x^2 -8x. This is in slope intercept form, but x is attached to both of the terms. How do I find the slope?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

y = 3x^2 -8x is NOT a linear equation, so it's not in slope intercept form so the concept of slope doesn't apply here

How would I find the slope of the equation?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

there is no slope since this isn't a straight line slopes only apply to straight lines

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this is a curved parabola
