OpenStudy (freethinker):

someone asked "Do you still have respect for someone who cheats in a relationship"?

OpenStudy (freethinker):

here's my short response: There's no words of apology nor action to mend a broken heart and rebuild a shattered trust; respect is nowhere to be found along these lines. To proceed and try to work things out is headed to an unhealthy relationship and inevitable resentment, which will make the past mistake resurface even when the slightest suspicion arise. Unless one is willing to be hurt again, because the person is worth that much (a sign of co-dependency issue) then he or she ought to move on and be better off to meet another stranger that might be principled and upstanding. Relationships are a little bit more complex than the black and white I have laid out, but it is the safest course of action if one is not willing risk something. And that what relationship is about - TAKING A RISK and A LEAP OF FAITH.

No

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, no.

OpenStudy (roku):

respect should be mutual so once a person lose respect for me i wont have respect for them.
