a video game is on sale for 25% off. the origanal price is $42. what is the discount? what is the sale price?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi, The amount of the discount would be the original price multiplied by .25 which is the same as 25%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sale price would be the og price minus the amount you got for the price x .25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Another way to do this would be to say the original price of the object was 100% and take off the 25% percent for the sale. So the new price would be 75% of the original price. So your set up would look like 42(.75)=sale price

Does this help?
