So simplify the expression. x(y+z) - 2(xy) Please explain the steps. Supposely the answer is -xy+xz ????? I don't see how to get it.

x(y+z) -2(xy) must do a foil method x times the quantity of y+z is xy + xz -2 times the quantity of xy is -2xy combine similar terms xy - 2xy is -xy the back to the equation -xy + xz since when you multiplied the x in (y+z) the result is xy + xz there the firs one is the xy so you just need to follow it
