Allie is counting the number of 1 kg weights and 2 kg weights at the fitness center. a represents the number of 1 kg weights and b represents the number of 2 kg weights. Which expression describes the total weight of all 1 kg and 2 kg weights? A. a + 2b B. 2a + b C. 2(a + b) D. 2b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well 1kg is 1/2 of 2 kg so you have to have 2a and 1b there is only one thing with those B

that wasnt the correct answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is A because b=2kg and a=1kg so if you put it together the b would be how many weights there are of the 2kg and you would have to multiply it by 2 so then you can get the total weight and then you would just need to add the total number of 1kg weights
