yo, does anyone know what's considered like terms in this expression? 3n + 18 - 7n + 3 + 5m

OpenStudy (austinl):

Like terms are terms that share common factors. Constants: Plain numbers. Ex. 1,1.2, (4/3), etc. Variables: You group these according to the variable. \(n~\text{with}~n, ~xy~\text{with}~xy,~5a^2b~\text{with}~4a^2b\) Does this make sense?

You should sum the sames ! Do you know the sames ?;) The sames : have : same power x^2 and 1000x^2 same word x and x 2x and 800x So sames there are : 3n and -7n 18 and 3 and 5m is alone ! So sum them ;): -7n+3n+5m+18+3=-4n+5m+21 Got it ?;)
