OpenStudy (elisuzsmith):

identify the vertex, axis of symmetry, maximum value, and range of y=3x^2-6x+2

OpenStudy (elisuzsmith):

vertex is (1,-1)

OpenStudy (elisuzsmith):

so then the axis of symmetry would be x=1

OpenStudy (elisuzsmith):

what is the maximum value, and range

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait i think you are wrong about the vertex. the form is y=ax^2+bx+c and the c term is the y-intercept

OpenStudy (elisuzsmith):

I graphed it and that is what I got for the vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry you are right just because it intercepts the y-ax at +2 doesnt mean that is where the vertex is. my mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i did the maximum function on my graphing calculator and it gave me the maximum of (0,2) does that sound right to you?

OpenStudy (elisuzsmith):

This is what I got then the axis of symmetry would be x=1 minimum value y=-1 range is... range y>1-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what about the maximum
