There were many thoughts made by OS users for this feature including me also. But unfortunately it was not given that much importance as it also may spam the whole OpenStudy system. Users may post inappropriate videos on this site, thus spamming the system which is not good for health of the OS Mods :D

Also, a Youtube link can add parts of that without the overhead landing on OS.

We have indeed had this feature - synchronous audio and video chat - like hangout. There are a lot of technical cross platform challenges.  We plan to bring this out as a premium feature.  Would you use this if it was available?
