@zepdrix

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats the one

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm, the red box..? +_+

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=a \sqrt{x-0}+0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry i went AFK for a bit

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So that would be your answer for `1.` right? Oh I guess you also want to plug in a = 1.0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and for the table on the left goes 0 1 2 3

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So what part are you stuck on? :o

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Cause the thing is.. you have all of these `controls` that I can't see in the text file lol. So it's hard to see what's going on hehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need someone to make sure im right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like to see if im doing right things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and ok at leaste u tried i think i got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill show you what i put for 3-5 3.0 4.0 5. 1a (Sqrt x-3)+1 6.6. How did this change the parent graph? i dont know this @zepdrix

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So for 3 you put, that as h increases, it has no effect on the graph? It that was the 0 means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhi ment i moved no spaces

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm that shouldn't be what you're getting :c Did you try to use whatever controls they're talking about? For 3 it should be that as h increases, the parent function shifts to the right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 i can put parent function shift to the left ?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Ya that sounds good :)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

For part 5, you plugged in h=3, ok good. Why did you change k=0 to k=1 though? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ops lol my bad

zepdrix (zepdrix):

hehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1a (Sqrt x-3)+0

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Good good. For part 6, refer back to our answer in part 4. Does that help you explain part 6 maybe? :o hmm

zepdrix (zepdrix):

I mean part3*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it changes the function by moveing to the right ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

left*

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Aw you had it the first time XD to the right. And if we want to be more specific we would say, it shifts the parent graph to the right by 3 units.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok i was sure right or left lol know i know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i think i got it know if i ned anything ill pm you :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now * lol

zepdrix (zepdrix):

k c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 3 questons radical functions ill post prob easy for u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh wait nvm gtg ill ask later bye
