Is it difficult to learn chinese on the OCW platform?

Hi I am just starting , I guess I could ask that question too. looks like we are in the same boat . I have looked through the note and had a listen to some of the audio files and they sound pretty good. Although I think a study group would be good Perhaps using skype or similar ? Talking is good, after all it is a language we are learning,

I have just started but I have been learning with a local a Chinese association,so I don't quit know where I am. However I think it may be usefull to have a discussion
group perhaps using skype or similar at the moment I can read simple stories and roughly 500 characters. When studying in other course I have found small study group very useful. kind regards Helen
