a health food company is considering producing a new protein bar. After the business makes an investment of $18,500, it will cost $.85 to produce each bar. The company sells each bar for $2.10. Write an equation the represents the total cost (C) of producing the bar (x). Write an equation the represents total revenue (R) received from selling the bar (x)

Well.. If i'm getting it right.. Let's make an equation that tells us how much money we spent in total to produce X bars: \[ C = $18,500 + $0.85 \cdot x \] Now let's make an equation that tells us how much money we got for selling X bars: \[ R = $2.10 \cdot x \] But that's only if I get it right...
