solve the system by graphing -2x=2y-4 2x-y=-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for this you're looking for the point that the graphs intersect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to graph these?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so graph them :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make y the subject of the equation and then graph both of them and see where they intersept

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You could graph them in a few ways... in the form they're in, easiest way is to find x and y intercepts. To find the x int: set y=0 and solve for x. To find the y int: set x=0 and solve for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the answer (-1,3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Check it yourself, by plugging that point in here: -2x=2y-4 2x-y=-5 (-1, 3)... so plug in x=-1 and y=3. Check if the equations are still equal on both sides.
