How many possible ways are there to go from one extreme to another by walking through the edges of a cube what exactly it is asking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hope you know what is a cube ... (thats silly) anyways suppose you are standing on the pointed part of a cube ie the vertice .. now how many possible ways are there in which you can move along the edges to return back to the same spot.. hope you get it ?!?!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops i made a mistake ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lemme draw it for you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many possible ways are there to get from A to B walking only along the edges |dw:1382218838004:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it asking for toal combination of possible sides...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you approch next ...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually i would just count them ... wait lemme think (if i dont respond in 3 mins i dont know)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i counted them and i got 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there must be other way Other than counting... anyway thnks @croslali

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait! i think i got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait lemme post it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this site is not allowing me to post it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sigh* i guess i cant explain it then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay let me try .. you should try to imagine the combinations on two planes and then multiply by 6 on two planes i get 4 -considering that no two touch each other or overlap and then multiply them by 6 you get 24 in total i hope you understand ...... you just need to think that the cube is not rigid .... im sorry i bet you didnt understand .. it is all based on thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay let me try to explain using the figure ok?
