What stands out most to you about the American Revolution?

I'm just using this as an icebreaker. Feel free to answer it anyway you'd like.

For me, it's the way in which they went about it. They wrote their grievances out and tried to find a peaceful resolution to their concerns. The detailed way in which they did that strikes me as unique in history. When all is said, I believe we can say that their cause was just and their methods appropriate.
