list the coefficient Identify the given polynomial as monomial, binomial, or trimonial. 3x^3+x^2−8x−13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have done it just want to be sure if am right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Trinomial, as in 3 powers. and then coefficients plural?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They Just want me to list the coefficient of the given polynomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This was what I got Coefficient are 3, +1.x^2 ,-8 ,13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A coefficient is a number in front of a variable... so in this case 3 , 1 , -8... 13 wouldn't be coefficient.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So am right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Looks like it, except 13 isnt a value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its a polynomial question and I think 13 is also part of the coefficient

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me break down : List the coefficent of this polynomial 3x^3+x^2−8x−13 Term: 3x^3 the coefficient is 3 , x^2 the coefficent is 1 or 1.x^2 , Term -8 the coefficient is -8 , Term 13 the coefficient is 13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

co·ef·fi·cient ˌkōəˈfiSHənt/Submit noun 1. MATHEMATICS a numerical or constant quantity placed before and multiplying the variable in an algebraic expression (e.g., 4 in 4x y).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13 isnt a coefficient because there isnt a variable behind it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still dont agree anyway maybe if there is a way we can invite more people to this
