If the arc length shown in blue is 32.5 inches, then to the nearest hundredth of a radian is _____.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a radius or angle to the arc?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radius is 12 i believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the link says i have to be loged in, BUT, 12 is all i needed, so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[s = r*\theta \] where s = arc lenght [32.5] r = radius [12] theta = angle [answer] <- this is the answer you are looking for in radians so just solve the arc lenght formula above for the angle theta, make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hint- you answer should be between 2 and 3 if you did it correctly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got around 2.70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats it! just keep that arc length formula I gave you written down somewhere, you will probably have to use it in the future on another question!
