Is there any difference between center of mass and center of weight/ center of gravity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the definition says, centre of mass is where all the mass appears to be concentrated, and coG is where it appears as if all the gravity (weight) is acting upon. they are both the same for all practical purposes cause, as long as gravity is uniform, it doesn't matter but for some reason if gravitational force was not uniform ( i can't really think of an example :P), then they wouldn't be same so CoM would remain the same regardless of what, but CoG may change depending on the gravitational field configuration!
