OpenStudy (ash2326):

Blue print has scale of 1:30, Suppose in real life a length is 30 inch, in the drawing it'll be scaled by 30 so 30/30=1 inch Do you follow this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes so far

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Here we have to do the reverse, we are given length of a wall in blue print as 8 inches, can you try to find its length in real life?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would equal 1 ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

How did you get 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no 48 ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

How did you get 48?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm i timesd 8 and 8

OpenStudy (ash2326):

ok I'll give a hint, suppose length in blue print is 2 inches, in real life it'd be scaled up by 30 \[Real\ length= 30\times 2=60 inches\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get it so far i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 30 x 8 ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Yes

OpenStudy (ash2326):

good work :) did you understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and it would = 240 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
