HELP ! I need to write recommendations for some sample emails on stocks and bonds, but i'm so confused with this assignment, please help. Emails in the comments

Email 1: Hey! What's up? I know you've been studying a bunch of financial stuff, and I was wondering if you could help me with something. My parents are getting close to retirement age, but they don't have enough money to retire yet. My dad is 63 and my mom is 61. They've got some money they want to invest, but they don't know whether to invest in stocks or bonds. We can't afford a financial advisor or anything. Do you think you could give us some advice? They really don't have a lot money, but they also don't want to be too risky with the money they have. They'd like to be able to retire in about five years. What should I tell them to do?

I gotta get your help with something, since you've been studying finance and everything You know how my brother and I have been trying to get stuff together to start our own business? We don't know whether we should use stocks or bonds to finance the company. I say stocks, and he says bonds. If I buy lunch, could you help us figure which one to do?
