For a math assignment we have to factor x^2-6x+10, and I have no idea how to do that, because no numbers multiply to 10, but add to -6.. Any suggestions?

is it possible that the answer contains i? beause this does factor to : \[(x - [3-i])(x - [3 + i])\] but i can't say that i know how to do it because i never learned how in school
