what are my x intercepts y=(7x+3)/((x^2)+8)

hero (hero):

To find the x intercept, set y = 0, then solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i tried, i looked at the graph it never crosses the x axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get (3/7)/sqrt(8)

hero (hero):

0 = (7x + 3)/(x^2 + 8) x^2 + 8 = 7x + 3 x^2 - 7x + 5 = 0 Use quad formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe the x int is -((3/7)/sqrt(8)), ((3/7)/sqrt(8))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see thanks
