perfect square x^2+18x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x(x+18) x=0 x+18=0 -> x=-18

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

for ax^2 + bx Perfect square means you'll need to divide the b by 2, then square it and add it on the end... x^2+18x b would be 18, so divide it by 2, square it, then add it on the end

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

x^2 + 18x + (18/2)^2
