today is mah DE exam guys pleas help me
Sure what's your question?
?
i want to learn unit step functions and their applications
So basically the euler method of approximating a differential equation?
yea
So basically if you're given a differential equation describing a real situation, then you must have some initial condition, right? So you know what the speed, height, or whatever it is at the beginning, where t=0. So the problem comes though, what if you can't solve the differential equation? Then you can approximate it by basically making a line that starts there and you can determine the slope at that point by just plugging in your initial time and what the function is at that point. So you make a little piece that has the form y=mx+b and after a certain step size you decide on, or are given, you follow that straight line to another point which has a x and y value, and evaluate the y' of the differential equation from plugging those in and make a new line with that new slope. You continue this until you get as far into the future as you need to go with it.
\[solve the equation: (xy+1)dx+(2y-x)dy=0\]
