the sum of 6 and n

OpenStudy (phi):

this sounds like "translate English to math" sum means add up "things" to show adding, you put a + sign between the two things. for example sum of 1 and 2, you write 1+2 sum of a and b, you write a+b (notice we can "add" letters) can you do sum of 6 and n ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 6+n

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. also, because order does not matter when adding, you could also write n+6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thanks a lot, do you think you can help me out with 5 more?

OpenStudy (phi):

if you make each a new post
